Privacy Policy

DAW Tuner is designed to use as little data as practical. It does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or profiling tools.

1. Overview

DAW Tuner is a small independent self-help site for Windows audio workstation tuning. The site is built to be transparent and low-friction, with minimal data handling and no hidden tracking systems.

2. What this site does not do

  • It does not use analytics platforms.
  • It does not use ad networks or tracking pixels.
  • It does not build user profiles for marketing.
  • It does not sell visitor data.
  • It does not require an account to generate scripts.

3. Script generation and form data

When you use the DAW Tuner generator, the values you enter (for example CPU tier, RAM, GPU type, Windows version, DAW, and selected tuning options) are sent to the server so the site can generate your tuning script and rollback script.

Those generated scripts are then held in temporary server-side session storage so the download links can work during your current session. They are not intended to be stored in a permanent database or used for analytics, profiling, or marketing.

In plain terms: the generator does use the server while you are generating and downloading scripts, but it is not designed as a long-term data collection system.

4. Browser storage

DAW Tuner may use basic browser storage on your device to remember that you dismissed the site notice banner. This is used only for that local preference and is not used for cross-site tracking or advertising.

The site does not currently use analytics cookies or advertising cookies.

5. Feedback page and email

The feedback page does not submit your message to the site through a stored web form. Instead, it builds a pre-filled email using your own default mail application.

  • What you type on the feedback page stays in your browser until your mail app opens it.
  • If you choose to send that email, the message is then handled by your own email provider and the receiving mailbox.
  • DAW Tuner does not use that page as a hidden database-backed contact form.

6. Routine server and hosting logs

Like most websites, the hosting environment may keep ordinary server logs such as IP address, request time, requested page, browser information, and basic error logs. These logs are part of normal web hosting and security operation.

DAW Tuner does not use those routine logs as an analytics or profiling system, but they may still exist at the server or hosting level for security, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

7. Third-party links

DAW Tuner may link to outside tools, documentation, vendors, or downloads. Those external sites operate under their own privacy policies and practices. DAW Tuner is not responsible for how third-party sites handle your data.

8. Security and limits

Reasonable hosting and transport protections are used, but no website can promise absolute security. You should avoid entering information you would not want included in a generated script header or email message.

9. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the site’s behavior changes, for example if the generator flow, feedback flow, or storage behavior changes in the future.

10. Contact

Questions about this policy can be sent through the feedback page or by email to feedback@mjs5.com.
